Program Description:
Spend 3 months on the world-famous Galapagos Islands, taking classes in evolution, ecology, and conservation, marine ecology, and politics. Classes are specially designed for study abroad students, allowing you to get multiple courses of credit in a specific major.

In addition to three months in the Galapagos, students will spend one month in Cumbaya at USFQ’s main campus. Here students will take a Spanish class and start their academic track as well. Included in this part of the program is an excursion to Tiputini, the Coast, or highlands, depending on the academic track chosen.

Classes include multiple excursions and experiential learning opportunities depending on the course track chosen. Evolution, ecology, and conservation, marine ecology, and politics are the three main academic tracks that students can choose.

This specially designed program allows students to experience life in the place Darwin’s theory of evolution began. Students will stay with homestay families in on the Galapagos and in Cumbaya.
